Natural Fix

Natural Fix by crumbsonmycashmere featuring a lip stick

Digging through my makeup case, I realize how quickly time flies. I feel as if I broke the surface of some eyeshadows not more than 6 months ago; but instead I’ve stepped through a makeup time warp, and they were purchased in 2010.

Not only does this remind me that time slips away more swiftly as you get older, but also that I’m plain sick of most of the crap in my vinyl Luscious Lana BeneFit case.

My preference for natural cosmetics sometimes leaves me wanting for unique color and texture, but there are some new lines I have yet to experience along with some old standbys that have revived my interest.

Lily Lolo has an amazing color range of eyeshadow. While I cannot wait to experiment with them, there is part of me that haaaates dealing with loose pigment. Wiping it off my bathroom counter (or my cheeks), is not my favorite. We’ll see how she goes.

One product I’ve fallen in love with all over again is Dr. Hausckha’s liquid eyeliner. I have always hailed the product and despised the brush: it’s not for novices. However, it washes away much more cleanly than other liquid liners but stays put during the day, and it’s the blackest, mattest jet. I used to bemoan that I could not get a perfect line due to the skimpy brush. But now I actually like the imperfection.

It’s a better representation of me.
