Birthday Wishes

My bday is coming up and some friends and family want to know what I have on my wish list. To which I say, “read my stinking blog already!”

Just kidding.

Despite being a leo, I don’t require a lot on my birthday. Usually a good meal, birthday cake, and some personal attention suffices. Cookie cake. Chocolate chip. With candles and singing. But in all seriousness, birthday gift ideas can be hard to name as well as buy. It’s helpful to advise someone who wants to get you something; yet I wouldn’t want to recommend anything too expensive, unfamiliar, or difficult to obtain. Naturally, I’ve started compiling a list on Pinterest. So far, it includes items that are too expensive, stuff I’ve never laid eyes on in person, and things that can only be purchased with the help of a translator.

But I also included this yummy lotion that I sample with each visit to Anthropologie. I first discovered it at Lily in Charleston, SC where the whole shop smelled of its heavenly scent. I have been hoarding the last of my Korres guava body butter, eeking out a little more each day to avoid investing in this luxe little number. It’s not terribly expensive, but I’m apparently having trouble dropping cash on it. The scent is softer, a bit more refined, and less sweet than the Korres. And the jar is an example of what lingers in my imaginary Parisian apartment’s windows.

But a couple month’s supply of dark chocolate would do too. Get the full list here.

xoxo,

M
