Right about now, my inbox is brimming with emails extolling the wonders that party dresses bring: shine, fringe, sparkle, and glimmer.
It is Wednesday, December 7th. I have no holiday parties on my calendar. I have no reason to purchase a party dress. There are no uptown rooftops beckoning, no cabs waiting to be dashed into from the cold. No Christmas cocktails or champagne bubbling from a tall, sleek vessel. At least not anywhere that requires a dress.
Yet, I feel as if life would be better with a little bit of this and that in my closet. I’d love a gold beaded mini dress with green suede heels or a slinky frock with a deco design. I’d stock up on charm necklaces to keep spirits bright. As well as Absolut Orient Apple. Yum.
