Anthropologie has upped the ante lately with their sales. The deals this year have been very good; sequestering me in a cycle of orders and returns. However addicted to the madness, there are some items online that have me questioning.
It’s been a while since an article of clothing has inspired me to compose a poem. Here goes:
‘Tis true I see some abstract fish
Flitting through merino seas.
But the dolmen sleeves
Give little reprieve
From what they’re reminding me.
Despite composition
There remains recognition
Of a show from the late eighties
Where the father wore sweaters
No matter the weather
That looked quite similar to these.
Even though it’s more luxe,
And the shape is more loveable;
For me, (and this sucks),
It still looks like a Huxtable.
